Sara has been involved in various sports throughout life and believes sport has played a positive role in her development. In the Summer of 2017 while training for consecutive half marathons, Sara realized she needed to incorporate more balance into her daily training. CrossFit brought just that, combining aerobic and anaerobic training as well as learning new skills, which welcomed new challenges daily.
As a coach, her goal is to help others realize the importance of functional fitness and movement across the lifespan regardless of age or limitation(s). Sara has been part of a team for Adapted P.E. and was a Trainer at Stansbury Fitness Center on WVU’s campus. Sara helped create individualized workouts for people of all ages and abilities embracing CrossFit’s tenant of the longevity of fitness. Bringing this knowledge to Ridgeline, she is happy to make any workout scalable for anyone. She believes working out should be an integral part of daily life and not just another item on the to-do list, but rather an opportunity to better one’s health. Sara is very grateful to have this opportunity as she continues to improve her own skills and increase her education in CrossFit so that she can be the best coach for others.
